Bible in one year: 1 Corinthians 1-2.
Every revival is characterized by a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples on the day of Pentecost and ordinary men were turned into extraordinary men who turned the whole world upside down. Something happened to them in the upper room. That was why Peter a timid, unlearned fisherman could stand before thousands of people and preach Jesus Christ with boldness and three thousand people got saved.
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit comes with a mighty endowment of power. God wants to pour out His Spirit again upon every one of us. James A. Stewart said that “Revival is the people of God living in the power of an un-grieved, unquenched Spirit.” The kingdom of God is not going to advance by our churches becoming filled with men, but by men in our churches becoming filled with God.”
God wants to fill us afresh again with His Spirit.
PRAYER: Breathe upon me, o breath of God. Come , Holy Spirit, come with invigorating power. Do in my heart and in our midst what you alone can do. I am tired of playing church and being lukewarm. Set my heart ablaze with your fire.
