Bible in one year: Genesis 28-31.

As a disciple of Christ you must understand the value of prophetic honour. Your level of understanding of spiritual things determines the level to which you can enjoy them.

First of all who is a prophet? In the old testament prophets were messengers of God through whom God communicated with His people. The first mention of the word “prophet ” is found in Genesis 20:7. Here God is calling Abraham a prophet while talking to Abimelech in a dream of the night. This is the only time the word “prophet” appears in the whole of Genesis. Abraham is the only person called a prophet in the book of beginnings. He is a prophet, he will pray for you and you will live.

The first assignment of a prophet according to the book of beginnings is the prayer of intercession. Your prophet is the person whose prayer God will hear concerning you. Not everyone’s prayer concerning you is heard by God but when your prophet prays for you, God hears him. He is your life keeper, the one whose ministry keeps you alive and stops evil from coming to you. Before Satan destroys a man he first causes him to pull out of his prophetic covering. He causes him to disconnect from his prophetic covering. As long as you stay under your prophetic covering there is nothing the devil can do to you.

PRAYER: In the name of Jesus, I repent from any sin against my prophetic covering, I plead the blood of Jesus over my life. Right now I connect to the prophetic covering God has placed over my life. I hook into favour, blessings, promotions, miracles in Jesus name.
